Hey there! I'm Leiss Hoffman, and I'm a composer and audio designer from Edmonton, Alberta. I write in practically every genre, but I'm most passionate about jazz, rock and orchestral music.Video games have always been a point of fixation for me. So much so that even when I was grounded from all things games as a child, I couldn't get them out of my mind. Especially not the music.My coping strategy back then was dead simple: if I couldn't play games all the time, then I'd play music from games instead.It put me on a path I couldn't stray from. After I graduated from the University of Alberta, I decided to pursue composing, inspired by my heroes (such as Jake Kaufman, Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Matsuda).Since 2018, I've composed for Super Retro Maker (2018), Broodstar (2021), Tiny Life (2023), and Orcish Skies (2024).Currently, I play guitar for Thennecan, a VGM metal band. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy brewing coffee and roleplaying in tabletop games such as Pathfinder.July 2025
